Essential Movement & Combat Tactics

The "Slow Roll" Fall Save

High ledges are everywhere in the Rust Belt. To descend safely, fully deplete your stamina and perform a "slow roll" off the edge. This animation delays your falling status and can significantly reduce or even negate fall damage.

Zipline Mastery

Looking straight ahead or slightly down when hopping on a zipline sends you downward. Look up and you go higher. You can also jump from almost any height and reattach near the bottom (roughly 10% from the ground) to cancel a potentially lethal fall.

Shoulder Swapping

Press the Right Thumbstick (RS) to switch your camera shoulder. This is essential for peeking around corners without exposing your character.

Abuse the Third-Person Camera

Stay behind solid cover and use the camera to scout enemies. Veteran raiders initiate almost every fight from this hidden vantage point, letting you strike while staying “invisible.”

High-Tier Loadouts & Gear Strategy

Hardcore players carry one PvP weapon and one PvE weapon to handle every scenario. Here’s a breakdown:

S-Tier Ferro (Battle Rifle): Elite long-range precision, excellent for hitting weak points.

S-Tier Kettle (Assault Rifle): Dominates mid-to-close range and is cheap to craft.

S-Tier Dolabra (Shotgun): Legendary energy shotgun; two hits can down players.

A-Tier Anvil (Pistol): High-damage backup; shatters ARC armor efficiently.

A-Tier Stitcher (SMG): Reliable for close-quarters PvP with a high fire rate.

Snap Hook Advantage

This mobility tool is invaluable. Reach high ground instantly, close gaps in PvP, and move heavy objects like field crates with ease.

Safe Pocket Priority

Keep crucial items like Raider Hatch Keys or ammo stacks in your safe pocket early. Only swap them for rarer schematics or materials after securing them.

Advanced Survival & Extraction Tips

Quiet Landings

Grab ziplines or elevators around 60% of the way down. This reduces noise and lowers the risk of being tracked by enemy sound.

Heal Health First

Shields reduce damage rather than acting as a separate bar. Always prioritize healing health during intense fights.

The "6-9 Minute Loop"

Many veterans focus on short, high-value raids lasting 6 to 9 minutes. Extracting early with a small haul is more profitable than dying late with a full backpack.

Raider Hatches

Use Raider Hatches instead of elevators whenever possible. They require a key but are silent and don’t reveal your location to the entire map.

Gear Acquisition Tip

For players looking to skip hours of grinding, the fastest way to stay competitive is to buy rare ARC Raiders blueprints.

Platforms like U4N are trusted by competitive players to skip the boring grind and focus on practicing, letting you concentrate on mastering high-level raids instead of farming materials.

Platform Details

Release Date: October 30, 2025, for Xbox Series X|S
Cross-Features: Full cross-play and cross-progression across Xbox, PS5, and PC via Embark ID

By combining these movement tricks, loadout choices, and extraction strategies, you’ll maximize your survival and loot efficiency. Remember, in ARC Raiders, the smart raider wins more than the fast one.
